1. Draining The Tank

Over the time, due to the hardness in the water, the tank will get calcium deposits due to the scaling. The calcium that gets build up over the time gets muddy and gritty. This deposit may lead to improper heating as the calcium deposit act as a barrier between the heat source and the water. This results in improper heating of the water as the tank takes too much time for heating. This also increases the power consumption of the unit. Regular draining of the tank prevents the calcium build up.
